Book Description
The first time I read Chad Daybell's Errand for Emma, I thought someday I could look back and be able to say I knew Chad before his books become famous.Chad is one of those LDS writers whose books will be familiar to everyone one of these days.He just keeps getting better. In this new volume, Escape to Zion, the third volume in the Emma trilogy, Emma Dalton ventures into the future. We see Temple Square surrounded by an electric fence as chariots race through abandoned Salt Lake City streets. One of the Three Nephites lends a helping hand, and we get a glimpse of the big meeting at Adam-Ondi-Ahman at the ushering in of the new Millenium.Wow!This is fun reading.- Lee Nelson, Author of 28 books ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Hard to put down
The third of the trilogy, Chad Daybell ends his series on a high note. This was the most captivating of the three books with many unexpected twists and turns. The fictional account weaves LDS theology with interesting (and sometimes harrowing) depictions of future events. It will leave you wanting to know more about the future as seen by latter-day prophets.A great read for adolescents or for someone who wants to understand the LDS perspective on the Rapture. ... Verily this is the word of the Lord, that the city New Jerusalem shall be built by the gathering of the saints . . . (D&C 84:4)

In the near future, Tad and Emma North and their children live in a United States that is growing increasingly wicked. The Norths and their extended family notice that many Latter-day Saints are being deceived by alluring temptations, and they wonder how much longer the Lord will allow American society to continue its downward spiral.

Then comes an invitation from Church leaders for the Saints to gather together. This invitation isn’t well-accepted—and even openly mocked—but those faithful Church members who trust in the Lord soon find themselves accomplishing monumental tasks. Join these humble yet heroic Saints as they embark on an unprecedented journey to build New Jerusalem.

The Great Gathering, the first novel in the Standing in Holy Places series, paints a vivid picture of exciting prophesied events that still must occur before the Second Coming. If you have an interest in what awaits the members of the LDS Church, this series should definitely be on your reading list! ... Read more

Book Description
Tina Marlar's family seems to have it all. Her parents, Frank and Carmen, are loving and supportive of Tina and her older sister Kim. However, Frank carries a secret of eternal importance.

When Tina dies in a car accident, she is surprised to meet Lucille, the paternal grandmother she never knew. She also discovers her father had once been a member of the LDS Church, but had long ago abandoned his faith and extended family.

Despite opposition in Spirit Prison, Tina embraces the gospel. Now her only hope of being baptized and crossing into Paradise lies with her family. It is her mission to bring her family to the truth.

Can a spirit have much influence on the living? Kim has already started searching out the gospel on her own. Carmen has never been religious, but she can't understand Frank's anger toward Kim's LDS friends. It will take one very determined spirit, and a missionary who follows spiritual promptings, to bring Frank's secret out in the open, and save all of their souls.

This newest novel from the author of the Emma Trilogy will both inspire and entertain you as Tina's quest comes to a surprising conclusion. ... Read more

I am not LDS, so some of the ideas were very new to me. I really enjoyed the concept of the deceased making contact with the living and the afterlife depictions. Grabbed me on the first page and didn't let me go until the last page!

Book Description
The author of the acclaimed Emma Trilogy switches gears in this non-fiction account of his years working as a cemetery sexton.

In this entertaining book readers will meet such characters as a lock-picking ghost, a coffin-chasing cow, a rock band with boorish graveside manners, and Mrs. Robinson, whose leg preceded her to the grave.

Each chapter gives a behind-the-scenes look at different aspects of a sexton's world, including cemetery blunders, meddling spirits, bizarre events, and efforts to outfox the Grim Reaper.

Written in a humorous, tongue-in-cheek style, this collection of the author's actual graveyard adventures is a curiously uplifting book you won't be able to put down-or ever forget! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Quite fun....
This was an amazingly humerous book despite the title. My only problem.....it wasn't nearly long enough.I thoroughly recommend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars I can sum up this book in one word...
B O R I N G...

I wish I had listened to the reviewer who said NOT for anyone over age 12...I wholeheartedly agree.I have 2 kids who wouldn't enjoy this either.Wish I had my money back.I feel ripped off.

5-0 out of 5 stars An Excellent Read
A well-written feast of a book.I goggled it down in one afternoon. I couldn't put it down.I just had to see what would happen next. This book is a must read for everyone. It will make you see death and cemeteries in a whole different light.

5-0 out of 5 stars Funny Book
This book is great! It is just what it says it is- a humorous look at what goes on behind the scenes in a cemetery. I have read it several times, and I laugh out loud every time.I worked in a cemetery for several years, and this book brings back memories of the funny things that happen that people just don't hear about.

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time for those over 12
I actually had to stop reading this book 2 paragraphs in to see what company would actually have published this. I would not be so harsh in my review of this book, had it been billed as Juvenile non-fiction. Poorly written, hardly edited, and what little factual information Mr. Daybell provides is unresearched and obviously wrong to anyone with any knowledge of the funeral industry. This book is not worth the money, effort of borrowing it from the library, or any of your time. ... Read more

Book Description
I am a special witness of Jesus Christ.
Jesus called me to be one of his apostles when he began his ministry, and for three years I walked and talked with him. I also defended him before the people of Jerusalem, and mourned with him when those people rejected his message. Yet I never truly understood Jesus and his mission until those final, painful days of his life. During that week I watched my dearest friend transform from being not only a powerful teacher and healer, but to become the Savior of the World.

John the Beloved's role in sharing the final days of the Savior's life has been overlooked. He stayed close to the Savior during those crucial final hours, becoming an eyewitness to the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ. This account is based on John's own words as found in the Bible.

Based on John's own words as found in the Bible, the touching storyline combines with the striking artwork to create a wonderful, spiritual reading experience that can be enjoyed by readers of all ages. You will feel a new love and appreciation for the apostle John—and for the Savior Jesus Christ. ... Read more
