The best biographical book on this explorer yet! You can actually feel what Ferdinand Magellan felt during his voyage around the world. Great subject for a children book
Great subject for a children book. I got this series of books for my daughter and she really enjoyes reading them. Great read and educational too.

Who Was Ferdinand Magellan?
As an adult I thought the story was very intriging and exciting.This was
a Magellan that was never protrayed in history books of yore.The drawings were absolutelybeautiful, full of so much detail and interesting features.This book makes a marvelous present for children
learning about history.After reading this book, I can't believe that

Ferdinand Magellan made one of the most famous ocean voyages of all time. He left Spain in 1519 with five ships. He was trying to find a different route to the Spice Islands in the Pacific Ocean. Spices were very important to Europeans at that time. Along the way, he encountered many problems. Many of his men turned against him. He ran into heavy storms. Food and fresh water were often in short supply But he kept going. In 1522, one of his ships returned to Spain. It was the first time anyone had sailed all the way around the world.
